Fenugreek, or methi, comes from Trigonella foenum-graecum. When the seeds are soaked or ground and mixed with water, they produce a thick, slippery preparation that has made fenugreek popular in herbal detangling and conditioning treatments. Fenugreek also contains numerous plant compounds that have been investigated for antimicrobial, antioxidant, and hair-related activity.
